Nanzenji Temple
From Heian Shrine to Nanzenji Temple it takes 15 minuites by bycicle.
Nanzenji Temple is very beautiful and little bit cool compares the central area of town in summer because its located on the mountain  also in the fall  there are red leaves on trees, you must see it. You can include Eikando Temple to your trip it is nearby Nanzenji Temple.

Suirokaku

It is one of the famous spot in Nnazenji Temple, most people visit for Suirokaku.

Suirokaku made of brics, cultural assimilation between Japanese and Western that makes little bit strange but beutiful.

Suirokaku made in 1888 for carry water from Biwako lake in Shiga to Kyoto.

Chion-in Temple

One of the biggest gate called Sanmon in Japan it is national tresure and made of wodden height 24 meters, width 50 meters and depth 12 meters.

Sanmon has 3 means "do not deeply attach to things"; "do not discriminate with an appearance"; "do not demand it on greed"

Otoko-Zaka (Men's slope)

That you climb the stone stairway called "Men's slope" for the stone stairway that an incline is hard, the person that heart and a knee is weak, I do not recommend to climb up and down.
There is "Women's slope" into the right hand of Men's slope, it is a loose slope compare with the other one.

This morning, a yasaka taxi with pattern of a four-leaf clover came to our ryokan. Most yasaka taxies are with a three-leaf clover. Taxies with a four-leaf clover are only 4 in Kyoto city. We cannot make a reservation, so this is very lucky. It is said that this taxi bring you a lucky. If you ride on it, you can get a special certificate and sticker. When youcome to Kyoto, let’s find yasaka taxi with pattern of a four-leaf clover. May this picture bring you good luck!
