Today, I was asked where is a MUJI store by one of our guests. I've been asked the same question by another guest lately. MUJI is a Japanese brand which sells various goods such as sancks, drinks, stationaries, clothes and furniture... Then I remembered I was surprised that I found a MUJI store in Milan when I went to Italy. MUJI seems to be getting popular in some European countries. Come to think of it, recently UNIQULO has opened New York Soho store. UNIQULO is a Japanese casual clothes store and offers clothese at good price. I haven't been asked where is UNIQULO store yet and I don't know how popular it is in US though... There are also some branches in Europe, so it could be getting popular like MUJI. Socks are usually sold 1000 yen for 3 pairs in Japan. I believe this is the most common price for socks here. There are many diffirent kinds of socks. For example cute one, funny one or ugly one... etc There are Japanese taste socks like this picture. Why don't you buying these socks as souvenirs to your friends?? I bet you can find the store selling socks ealily. Come to think of it, my mom gave Japanese socks to my foreign friends as souvenirs. The other day my sister also gave them to my another foreign friend. We are socks family...

* Triangle one is raw yatsuhashi *Brown one is baked yatsuhashi YATSUHASHI is one of the best known sweets of Kyoto. It's made from rice flour , sugar and cinnamon. There are 2 type of Yatsuhashi. one is Baked Yatsuhashi and another one is raw Yatsuhashi. BakedYATSUHASHI is like cinnamon cookie . Raw YATSUHASHI (Nama yatsuhashi) has a soft texture and is often eaten wrapped around red bean paste and may come in a variety of different flavours. my favorite flavour is sesame paste raw yatsuhashi. But I saw chocolate banana flavour and chocolate strawberry flavour at the shop so I wanna try them ! when you stay with us. you can try Yatsuhashi in your room. we serve it with tea. If you like it you can buy them for souvenir from Kyoto. Yatuhashi is most popular souvenir from Kyoto!

Have you ever make origami? origami is very popular in japane when we are small we lern how to make origami at preschool. One of our staff made this crabs. This is Crab. it is common to make swan by Origami. this crabs are made by 4 swans. she start to interest to make origami when she saw this at sweets shop. she got one of them from the sales lady and she broken it and learn how to make this crab.
